Happy 14th Anniversary!

14 years ago today, hubby and I were married in a cute little chapel in the Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas, NV! 55 of our closest friends and relatives came with us to celebrate!

Why Vegas you ask? With us living in CO at the time and most of our family in friends in CA, the guest list was up over 300 people. We just could not afford that. We decided to go to Vegas as that was (and still is) one of our favorite hang outs. We invited 100+ and 55 guests showed up. It was perfect!

We had our ceremony in the chapel in the Treasure Island Hotel and were married by a Reverand who happened to be Diana Disney's (yes, that Disney) best friend. He was the White Rabbit on Disneyland's opening day. Why is this significant? Because Hubby and I met while working at Disneyland together in the shops at Tomorrowland :-) How cool is that?

We had our reception in one of the many ballrooms in Treasure Island. Our entry song was Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirate's Life for me :-) Our scrolls were rolled up like Treasure Maps and bound with gold booty. We had so much fun! Our DJ was awesome and kept everyone dancing after lunch.

The night of our wedding we went out to the casinos with our friends and bridal party! One place we wound up was the Hard Rock Cafe where apparently hubby and his friends partied quite late the night before. Because they had so much fun with the doormen and the blackjack dealers, not only did I win over $200 at BlackJack (with the help of both the dealer and the pit boss) but we got to ride back to Treasure Island in their Purple High Roller Van! It was a night to remember and my friends say it was one of the best weddings they had been to!
